General purpose thickener for aqueous solution is useful in oil well drilling and flooding fluids, fire-fighting foams and fluids, detergents, leather pastes and finishes, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, agricultural formulations and emulsions of all kinds. It provides excellent balance amongst properties such as good thickening, leveling, and sagging properties. It increases viscosity in low shear range and improves the sagging tendency and storage stability of dispersion paints and other aqueous systems.
