POLYELETROLYTE FOR SUGAR

Polyelectrolytes are used to remove both soluble and insoluble impurities from sugar cane juice, participating in clarification process in sugar manufacturing. Soil and clay impurities coming with cane supply cause multiple detrimental effects such as small mud flocs, light mud which doesn't settle, high mud level, high turbidity, overflow juices and filter cakes that is difficult to wash.

A high molecular weight anionic polyelectrolyte is used for rapid flocculation and sedimentation of suspended particles in sugar cane juice. It increases the settling rate of the microfloc particles such as slow settling mud, with reduced amount of viscosity as well as improves the efficiency of separation of the liquid-solid system.
