IODOPHOR

Iodophor, a combination of iodine and a solubilizing agent is a wide spectrum bacteriocide, tuberculocide, fungicide and virucide. It is used as an exceptional antiseptic in infection treatment and wound healing. Its resulting complex provides a sustained-release reservoir of iodine and releases small amounts of free iodine in aqueous solution. It is a highly efficient microbicide with a wide antimicrobial spectrum.
