PROPYLENE GLYCOL (PG) - Technical Grade

Propylene glycol is a clear, colorless, slightly viscous liquid at room temperature, practically odorless and hygroscopic, meaning it readily absorbs moisture from the air. It will vaporize only when heated or agitated. Our propylene glycol is manufactured to technical (industrial) grade specifications and is intended solely for industrial and manufacturing applications. Technical grade PG is widely used as a base for lower-toxicity antifreeze and heat-transfer fluids in HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial cooling systems, and as an aircraft and runway de-icing fluid. It also serves as a key raw material in the production of unsaturated polyester resins, and as a solvent and coupling agent in paints, coatings, printing inks, and hydraulic fluid formulations. Other names for propylene glycol include 1,2-dihydroxypropane, 1,2-propanediol, and monopropylene glycol.
